When she’s not showing homes in the historic Houston Heights, Kathleen Powell is probably still in the neighborhood. Hanging out with her teenage daughter. Helping backstage at HITS Unicorn Theatre. Or putting the power of the Internet to work for a client. “My background as a system engineer helps me tremendously in real estate. I know how to find the information my clients want and that saves us both valuable time.”
In fact, Kathleen has developed techniques to benefit every one of her clients, whether they’re buying, selling, or both. “I can pinpoint an area as small as a block
and get all sorts of information,” she says. “Square footage by list price, by sale price, very detailed data that enables my clients to set the right prices and make the right offers.” The way Kathleen sees it, the more information a buyer or seller has, the better.
Kathleen has spent nearly two decades in Houston so she knows the city and its multitude of offerings.“There are so many distinct neighborhoods, school districts, even lifestyle opportunities. From piney woods to waterfront, Houston has something for every taste.”
Yet Kathleen is most passionate about her own neighborhood, the Houston Heights. “It’s like a small town within the city,” she explains, “with tree-lined streets and a dynamic mixture of new and historic homes. You know your neighbors and look out for one another.”
